What better than wearing an all-pink loungewear outfit to talk about the right shade of pink for your skin tone.
Pink is one of those colours that has dozens of shades, because they vary according two factors: the red/white ratio used in that particular pink and if it has cool or warm undertones. You might have heard about undertones when talking about skin tones, but they also exist in colors.
WARM PINKS
In the case of pink, it follow a simple rule. Warm pinks (a.k.a pinks with a yellow undertone) will suit better to those who have a warm or golden undertone. These will flatter your complexion, highlighting your best features.
So if you’re looking to wear the best pinks for you think Peach, Apricot, Flamingo, Coral, Copper, Rose Gold or Salmon. The same goes if you’re choosing lipsticks, nail polish or hair dye.
Avoid Cool or blue toned shades as they will appear harsh and drain you of natural color.

COOL PINKS
On the same line, if you have a cool or blue skin undertones, then you’ll always look your best in the cool shades of pink. This happens because the blue undertone echoes your own natural coloring and creating a nice visual harmony.
When choosing shades for either clothes, makeup or hair dye, always look for Baby pink, Rose, Fuchsia, Magenta through to Plum tones.
Again, avoid warm or yellow based shades as they will throw your coloring and can make you look tired or even ill. If you don’t want to get rid of certain colors, just avoid them around your face, or layer up that cute t-shirt you love with a scarf, blazer or jacket with the colors that suit you.
