As you probably remember, a few posts ago I introduced you guys to Lighthouse*, an Northern Irish brand that makes some of the best waterproof coats I’ve seen out there. For today’s post, I’m reviewing the Cora jacket, a.k.a, the perfect lightweight raincoat.
I loved the idea of having a pink raincoat, even though the traditional navy or grey looked beautiful too! I just couldn’t resist to this macaron pink, especially knowing that the lightweight fabric made it an ideal raincoat for Spring/Summer.
Just like my winter jacket, the Cora design features Lighthouse’s own fabric, Shoreline, as the outer layer that ensures the coat is lightweight and weather resistant. This means the coat is highly breathable, waterproof and windproof.
Apart from the two front pockets (with a cute button close), this coat has an internal pocket and a cotton lined, adjustable hood. And again, just like the Lauren jacket, this one also has a lovely soft, cotton blended lining, but with a striped shirt pattern.
Both of my Lighthouse jackets have been some of my favorite collaborations ever: the quality was stunning, the attention to details, the innovative fabrics, the practical designs.. If there’s a place in the world where they must know how to make proper raincoats, that must be the UK, and Lighthouse proves it to perfection.
