Hi my lovelies! How did you start the year? I got a bit of January blues but that happens every year 🙂 At least this time, although I feel sad because my beloved holidays are over, I also got something really big to look forward to: the wedding. So that keeps my January blues at its minimum. Anyway, I’m bringing a new review today, and we’re talking about an Eucerin scrub. Please note that the name in the title is slightly different from the name in the bottle: that’s only because the latter is for the Spanish-speaking market but it’s all exactly the same product.
You know me, I’m a sucker for scrubs. I do not use them everyday of course, because that can alter my skin’s normal pH, but I do exfoliate my face skin once a week. This time I got the Eucerin DermoPurifying Oil Control Scrub for oily skin (100ml) because I noticed my skin going really oily lately in the Argentinian heat, and my T zone was going out of control.
With 5 star or 4.5 star reviews on sites like Influenster, BeautyBulletin and the official Eucerin UK page, this scrub had big expectations to fill. It claims to unclog pores, reduce impurities and blackheads, and leave the skin texture visibly smooth and refined. The product has been specially formulated for oily and blemish-prone skin which is not undergoing medication and can be used during pregnancy. According to their website, the product is “suitable for face and body, the exfoliating action of natural micro particles works against dead skin cells − one of the key causes of blackheads and spots − and gently cleanses skin and removes make-up.”
One of its main ingredients is Lactic Acid. Lactic acid is specifically used to treat hyperpigmentation, age spots, and other factors that contribute to a dull and uneven complexion. Other benefits of AHAs like lactic acid include improved skin tone and reduced pore appearance. (definition by healthline.com)
The scrub has a nice gel texture with micro particles and an overall fresh feel to it. It works beautifully on my skin, and yes, the cleansing is deep. My skin feels fresh new after I use this product. You know when you rub something clean and it feels funny, like when you polish something and it glows? Well, my face does that every time I exfoliate it with the Eucerin scrub! I do moisturize it very well afterwards otherwise it might turn a bit dry on the sides.
I also tried scrubbing only the T zone (given that it’s my only problematic area), which is a good way to target and control the excess of oil on my nose.
So far I’m very pleased with this scrub, I love it. The verdict? I do recommend it… for oily skin types or to control your oily T zone. J Eucerin is a trustworthy brand so you can rely your skin care on them without having to worry. At least to me they never failed. Hope you find this useful, my darlings!!
xoxo
