Long time no red carpet post! 😉 It’s been a while since I last made a post covering red carpet fashion so I thought the Emmys could be the perfect excuse to bring Hollywood back to my blog for a change.
So, let’s jump right into the fashion! Small screen divas gathered for the ceremony showing off their best looks. Pink in all its shades, from fuchsia to blush pink, was the favorite color for many of these ladies’ gowns. Black and metallic also made a popular appearance in the red carpet as they are always a go-to option for those celebs who prefer playing safe. Other pops of colors we have seen tonight were yellow and the classic red, although not as popular as pink.
Check out all the looks of the Emmys 2015 red carpet and comment with your pick for Best Dressed of the night! (and Worst Dress, too if you’re having a Joan Rivers moment. I mean, why not? 😉 )
MY TOP 3 BEST DRESSED LOOKS
Emma Roberts in Jenny Packham: Old Hollywood glamour ALWAYS works. Love the minimalistic jewelry, especially that delicate necklace which was leaning beautifully in Emma’s deep cleavage.
Sarah Hyland in Zac Posen: Sarah proves that less is more in this gorgeous Zac Posen ultra-flattering gown. The silhouette as well as that deep wine color is really sophisticated and simple at the same time.
Sarah Paulson in Prabal Gurung: I’m not sure if this picture does justice to the dress, I saw it on live TV and the sequins added a beautiful dimension to this classy dress. Plus, Sarah Paulson gives it like a sort of regal vibe and to me, she’s owning the whole look.
MY TOP 3 WORST DRESSED LOOKS
Heidi Klum in Versace: If a dress makes The Body’s body look bad, then it must be a really ugly dress. That’s what happened with this pale yellow Versace, the color doesn’t nothing for her tanned skin. The weird shape of the dress makes me think she accidentally teared the other half when she went out of the car. Auf wiedersehen, dress.
Nazanin Boniade in Stephane Rolland: Hmmm… confusing. Ill-fitting. Not flattering. Too many ‘nos’!
January Jones in Ulyana Sergeenko: Some people loved it, some others hated it. I just disliked it NOT because it is a jumpsuit (hello Emma Stone’s Lanvin jumpsuit for the Golden Globes!). I didn’t like it because it reminds me of the beach, and “beach” is not the first concept that comes to my mind when thinking of eveningwear. Maybe it’s the starfish looking-like detail on the waist or the acqua marine color of the jumpsuit itself, I don’t know, I don’t like it 😐
