Just like in my previous instalment we were talking all things eye makeup, in this one I’ll be reviewing all lipsticks (and petroleum jelly) a.k.a, all things lips. Looking at my makeup bag, you could say the last thing I need more of are lipsticks. I have many, and many of them are even similar to one another. But with super tempting cheap lipsticks out there, who can blame me? 😉

PS… METALLIC MATTE LIP CRAYON – 24K DIP

Metallic lipstick are huge right now and I felt confident enough to jump on the trend, twice. First, with this lip crayon from Primark that I loved when tried on my arm but on my actual lips it’s a bit too light for me. On my arm and even in this picture it’s like an orange-y peach tone but on my lips you can see more shimmer than color so it’s confusing. I like it but I might have to apply a darker lipstick first and this one top for a shimmery metallic finish.

SLEEK MAKEUP MATTE ME METALLIC LIP CREAM – METALLIZED ROSE

I’m still confused by the ‘lip cream’ term but anyway. This metallic lip gloss was my second addition to my sudden metallic fever. The color is exactly as described by them, it’s literally a gorgeous metallized rose, a dark pink a beautiful matte metallic finish, which means no eyeshadow kind of shimmer like the PS… one. It does need re application right after drinking or eating but I guess that comes with the price.

MUA MAKEUP ACADEMY LIPSTICK – SHADE II

Can we start by saying this lipstick was only £1 on Superdrug? 😀 The shade was right in my alley: an earthy and slightly dark nude. I loved it and for that price, even more. The texture is super creamy, almost buttery! Which is a nice bonus for my always dry lips. Unfortunately it doesn’t last too long so I found myself reapplying it quite a lot. If I were you, I’d also suggest applying lipliner prior to the lipstick because the same creamy consistency tends to fall a bit out of the edges of the lips.

VASELINE ROSE AND ALMOND OIL PETROLEUM JELLY – ROSY LIPS

Vaseline, my old friend. Let me tell you a quick story, when I’m in Argentina people kinda make fun of me for always carrying a little can of petroleum jelly with me 24/7. For some reason this product is not commonly found there (!) therefore it’s not popular. However when I come here to the UK I’m one of the bunch carrying my beloved Vaseline on my makeup bag. <3 To make things even better, I try the different versions they have and this time was the turn for the Rose and Almond Oil cute pink little can. Texture is exactly the same as the original one but this comes with a really subtle pink tint (nothing major, barely noticeable) and equally subtle flavour and perfume. I have no issue with that at all, in fact they’re so subtle that they’re barely there, but I understand people who prefer absolute zero flavour and/or perfume when it comes to lip products. Loving my Rosy Lips so much that I think it’s my favorite Vaseline edition so far!

From top to bottom: Vaseline Rosy Lips, Mua Makeup Academy Lipstick, Sleek Metallic Matte Lipgloss, Ps… Metallic Matte Lip Crayon.

Second part of my makeup reviews, done! Hope you liked it babes!!
