With summer in full swing, dresses in all their variations and lenghts are also experiencing their peak moment of the year. Each of these lenghts have their own definitions, differences and ways to wear them. Which one do you prefer? Mini, midi or maxi?
MINI
The mini-dress or mini-skirt is above the knee but below mid-thigh. Shorter than this is considerated «micro-mini«. They can be sweet or sexy, depending on the overall silhouette.
Bodycons or these ones found on a bandage dress wholesale are on the sensual side, perfect for hot dates or night outs in the city. Wear them with high-heels and a fab clutch. For the winter, thigh-high boots or 80’s-inspired sparkly tights, and the coolest fluffy coat you own.
MIDI
The women midi-dress is below the knee but above the ankle. Midi, or also known as «tea-lenght» is most frequently used to describe a dress that hits mid-calf.
They’re the most popular choice for daytime dresses, given their huge versatility: the right fabric and styling can set the difference between «afteroon in the park» and «Tuesday morning in the office».
The coolest part about midi dresses is that they look equally cool with pumps and a tote bag or sneakers, a fanny pack and a denim jacket.
MAXI
The maxi-dress is ankle-to-floor length. It’s most usually form-fitting at the top and flowing from the waist down. If we’re talking about formal or glamorous floor-lenght dresses we might be talking about gowns (last picture).
One of the most normally associated prints for this kind of dresses is floral, as we can see in these Feelingirldress maxi dress in the example. They’re usually boho and flowy, etheral and beachy, but above all, always fresh.
As a petite person myself, I know some of my gals feel intimidated by this particular lenght. The quick and easiest solution of course will be throwing on some heels or wedges, but if that’s not your cup of tea, a jacket that doesn’t go longer than your waistline could be your secret ally, as well as small bags and/or the 2020 «it» bags: the shoulder bag. Bonus if your hair is up in a ponytail, bun or braids.
Which lenght is your favorite? If you answered the latter, you might be interested in checking out Feelingirldress discounts on their wholesale maxi dresses!
