LBD & GOLDEN SHOES FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Hi lovelies! Did everyone have a good Christmas? I’m here with my Femmeluxe LBD & golden shoes outfit that I wore on Christmas, which happens to be perfect for NYE as well!

THE ACCESSORIES

I love dressing up for Christmas! It’s the moment where I’m allowed to wear all the glitter and sequins I want! For this year’s outfit, I wanted to elevate my dress with one of these trendy bold chain necklaces in golden, matching my golden glitter shoes.

The reason why I picked that type of necklace is because the lenght works perfectly with the asymmetric shoulder design of my little black dress. Necklines like that are meant to be worn with chockers, rather short necklaces or no necklace at all. Funnily enough, the latter would’ve been my go-to option if I had my ears pierced and I could wear some long earrings.

To finish off my accessories, I added a golden bangle and one of my favourites embellished headbands. I think LBDs and white midi dresses both give you the option to have a lot of fun with accessories, so that’s what I did.

THE DRESS

As for the dress itself, it’s far from being just a boring black dress. There are so many details in this item that make it special. For example, the most obvious one, the beautiful asymmetric shoulder design that completely covers one sleeve and leaves the other shoulder and arm totally naked.

The dress then features a ruched effect that highlights all your curves, resulting in a very flattering item. Last but not least, you can find a little belt from the same fabric that you can tie in the front or in the back. I chose to make some sort of a ribbon in the back to give an extra Christmassy vibe.

This same outfit could be easily worn on New Years Eve as well, given that LBDs are so versatile. Metallic accessories in golden and silver will always be a classic and if they happen to be glitter or sequins, even better! If you’re planning to go out for the night, just add a cool teddy coat or the it coat of the moment: the Matrix-like leather coats. Or faux-leather. 😉
