Hello my lovelies. After a hectic week in the city and a full week in the Welsh mountains with my boyfriend I can finally say I’m back. I’m happy to introduce a new Korean skincare brand in the market called Hyuejeong in this post. I guess it’s fair to say my skin is happy, too. 😉
I’m not going to lie, as much as I love blogging, taking two weeks off felt good. I’ve been blogging for the last 5 years and the last time I did that was in September 2013 when my grandad passed away, so maybe these past two weeks were a well-deserved vacation from years of almost uninterrupted blogging. By the way, I got some cute pics from the trip that I’m planning to share on a rare personal post next week. 🙂
Anyway, I want to tell you about the new kid on the block, Hyuejeong. As we all know, Korean skincare brands take it to the next level of quality (and cuteness) as well as efficiency. Hyuejeong created their masks from a premium skincare spa in Korea, and launched the product to Incheon International Airport (the hub of K-beauty) and Korean Air this year.
LUXURY MASK PACK*
What makes these masks special is not only the ingredients combination but also their bio cellulose mask sheet –a new developed natural material just for the skin care purpose. The mask adjusts the oil and moisture balance by moisturizing with hyaluronic acid and nourishing dry skin with vegetable ingredients including camellia oil, avocado oil and shea butter. The mask helps to make skin texture smooth and glossy by relieving dryness of skin with superior adhesive power.
The Luxury Mask Pack was a blessing for my face. The cream that comes with the mask is lovely, feels ultra moisturizing and smells divine. It did leave some oil excess on my nose (forever oily zone) but that’s easily fixable. During the 25 minutes that I had this mask on I felt freshness and full moisture. In fact, this mask also gave me boots of visible radiance on my face that I found quite surprising. After my first use I still had lots of leftover product that they recommend using it as daily skincare essence for the next days.
THE EYEPATCH MASK*
Betaine and trehalose, widely known as natural moisturizing elements, help to maintain the oil and moisture balance of the skin and mositurize rough skin to make it soft. Vegetable extract including mugwort, portulaca and trichosanthes root help to relax and make exhausted skin glossy by nourishing it.
I was so excited to try this eyepatch mask one particular day when my eyes were feeling red and tired. The product cream that comes in the patch is quite generous so I kept my eyes closed all the time (15 minutes). It’s super refreshing and although my eyes were still a bit red, the puffiness was gone and the whole area felt relieved and renewed.
I would highly recommend giving this new K-skincare brand Hyuejeong a chance, especially if you’re in need of a home spa day. Bonus point if you light a scented candle or incense to create an even more relaxing atmosphere. I would also recommend these products for wintertime or for dry skins, as they’re really moisturizing and have different vegetable oils in them. I tested them now during summer and as I said before, it was a bit too much for my T-zone. Other than that, I liked them. <3
Ps, I didn’t include a picture with the masks on because I literally looked like a horror movie character haha.
xoxo
