There are two things I always thought I was going to avoid for the rest of my life since the day I realized I was going to grow as a petite girl: big prints, maxi-length dresses/skirts. I thought they would only make me look shorter unless I was wearing sky-high heels. Well, although I’m wearing heels in this post, that conception changed after I (FINALLY!!!) dared to try my first maxi dress.
As you might have noticed, there are gorgeous maxi dresses out there, so when I was contacted by Yoins* for this collab, the first section I headed to in their store was Maxi Dresses. I got lost in a variety of colors, prints, cuts and styles. There’s something so comfortable, fresh, stylish and flowy about them that I couldn’t resist, so I picked this Floral Print Wrap Maxi Dress. Prints on a screen don’t look as “intimidating” as they might look in real life, so although I noticed the flowers were big, I thought it wasn’t a big deal.
It wasn’t until I tried it on that I was like ‘Woha!, this print is BIG!’ but after literally one second, I liked it. And after two second I loved the look and regretted not buying maxi dresses before! Yes, I’m convinced they might do some visual trick on my height, but you know what? I’m already a short girl and nothing can really change that so, I’ll go with the flow and break the styling rules from time to time. 😉
As for the store Yoins, I have zero complaints neither about their products or about their customer service, both were pretty satisfying and good enough to recommend it to you guys. I truly love this dress and I’m not lying when I say it made me want to come back for a few more maxi dresses (to make up for all the years I haven’t worn them, right? Is that excuse good enough? My wallet doesn’t think so, lol). Check their site for the cutest summer pieces, girls… and break some fashion rules you too! 😉
