Hi lovelies! For the first time ever (I think) I’m posting something DIY related lol. You’ll see, I’m not a crafty person and I’m usually not very patient haha but I decided to give this DIY a try because it seemed super simple! And I thought if I can do this, literally everyone can 😉
I use lip balms every day all year round because my lips are always so dry. I tried cocoa butter sticks, cute lip balms from different brands, almond oil and petroleum jelly a.k.a Vaseline. The latter is the one I stick to because it’s really moisturizing – I have one that has aloe vera and I love it. Vaseline has been in my bag along with my makeup since 10 years ago or so. But lately I felt the need to shake things up a little bit and have some fun, so I started checking DIY lip balm videos on Youtube and stumbled upon this one made by different youtubers.
WHAT YOU NEED
(Ingredients for one small container)
Vaseline (1 tablespoons or 15 gr)
Lipstick (a 2mm piece aprox)
1 microwave-safe bowl
Optional: Almond oil (one or two drops)
DIRECTIONS
In a microwave-safe bowl, put the tablespoon of Vaseline.
Cut off a small piece of your favorite lipstick (approximately 2 mm) and add it to the bowl.
Stir the mixture
Microwave the mixture for 30 seconds until it’s melted. If it’s not melted enough, repeat for other 30 seconds.
Optional: Add one or two drops of almond oil for extra moisture and stir again.
Pour the final mixture to a small empty container and take it to the fridge for it to harden faster.
Once it’s solid, apply! <3
That’s it! Easiest DIY ever, right? 😉 Some girls also added their favorite flavoring or even an essential oil but I didn’t do it so I didn’t include it in the tutorial of course. I’ve also seen a similar DIY but using eyeshadow or blush 😮 Quite tempting as well!
I hope you liked this DIY and if you ever do it tag me in the photos so that I can see it! <3 Or probably you’ve already done it, and if so, tell me your experience! 🙂
xoxo
