Hi lovelies!! We’ll be talking about skin care on a budget today. I’ve been trying four different face masks by Anatomicals* these past weeks and I come here today to tell you my thoughts about them!
If you’re in the UK you probably heard of (or used!) Anatomical products. They look cool af, they’re budget-friendly and you can find them in different stores such as Asos, Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, Superdrug, to name a few. But they’re more than face masks: you’ll find body care, shower products, hair wash, balms and sleep masks.
It’s also important to highlight that Anatomicals doesn’t test on animals and that all their formulas are paraben free. <3
NO BREAKOUTS. IT’S ALCATRAZ FOR SPOTS. PURIFYING CHARCOAL FACE MASK
This was the first one I tried and I really liked it. I think it’s my second favorite actually! My skin felt clean and radiant after the first use. You might feel a slight burning sensation in the skin (‘burning’ sounds too harsh tho, I wish I could find another word less dramatic for it) but that happened to me everytime I tried a charcoal-related product. I’d recommend this face mask if you’re looking for a cheap maintenance purifying mask that delivers.
I FEEL THE NEED, THE NEED FOR SEAWEED. CALMING ALGAE FACE MASK
This bright turquoise mask reminds you of the sea and the indeed calming effect of blue waters. I used it on a warm day I felt my rosy cheeks a tiny bit relieved afterwards. Nice, refreshing, but not-out-of-this-world face mask. 🙂
FAREWELL THE SCARLET PIMPLEHELL. DEEP CLEANSING MUD MASK
This one’s probably my least favorite of the four 🙁 After feeling my skin much cleaner when using the charcoal mask, I thought this deep cleansing mask would be even better but I was a bit disappointed. Results weren’t as impressive as the first one and most importantly, I actually got a pimple the day after :/ I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt though and see what happens after more uses, not just only one.
THAT’S WHAT WE CALL WELL STUNG. SKIN BOOSTING HONEY FACE MASK
Leaving the best for the end, this honey face mask was definitely my favorite! Starting by the delicious honey scent that comes up from the moment you open the sachet, this one was a sweet sweet surprise. I loved how soft and clean my skin felt after suing this delightful mask. Unlike the other three masks, this one feels sticky when you apply it instead of dry. That’s of course because it’s a really well-made honey mask. Little warning: it leaves a slight yellow hue in the skin, but it’s easily removable with micellar water or any makeup remover you use. 🙂
I feel like I wouldn’t be making a proper Anatomicals review if I didn’t address how the omnipresent sense of humor of this brand. From the name of their products to the descriptions of it and their colorful website, everything seems to be touched by their funky style and wording.
In conclusion, good masks for their price, with lovely, super fun Instagrammable packages. Bonus: Anatomicals is more than just humorous names; they’re a committed brand offering cruelty-free and parabens-free products. So, if you’re curious to try some Anatomicals face masks, I’d recommend their Skin Boosting Honey Mask and their Purifying Charcoal Face Mask, both get the work done! <3
xoxo
